Pace exists to provide a calm, supportive navigation companion that helps drivers build confidence behind the wheel. By prioritizing comfort, safety, and learning over speed, Pace creates an experience that grows with each drive. It guides users gently, personalizes directions based on their comfort level, and encourages steady progress, turning every journey into an opportunity to feel more confident, capable, and in control.
The Why

As navigation becomes faster and more optimized, it often leaves behind the drivers who need time, clarity, and reassurance. For many, driving isn’t intuitive—it’s stressful, overwhelming, and easy to lose confidence in. Pace was created to shift that experience, making the road feel less like pressure and more like progress.

The Idea

Pace reimagines navigation as a calm, supportive companion rather than a directive tool. Instead of pushing drivers to keep up, it adapts to their comfort—guiding gently, learning their pace, and building confidence with every turn. The experience is not about getting there faster, but about feeling better while getting there.

The How

The system is designed around clarity, adaptability, and reassurance. Through a simplified interface, personalized guidance, and a tone that reduces pressure, Pace meets drivers where they are. Every interaction is built to feel steady and intuitive, transforming navigation into a space for learning, growth, and confidence over time.

Confidence Package

Reaching confidence isn’t just a milestone—it’s something you carry with you.

At this stage, users receive a Letter of Confidence—a personalized note from Pace that reflects how far they’ve come. It’s affirming, a little sentimental, and meant to feel earned. A reminder that confidence wasn’t given; it was built.
Alongside it comes the Pace keychain—a small, physical token to keep with you on every drive. It turns confidence into something tangible, something you can hold onto when you need a quiet reminder. And for the outside world, Pace bumper stickers—a subtle, proud signal that says “Driving at my Pace.” And then, the most human part: postcards. Users can send them from wherever confidence takes them—whether it's first solo drives, new places, or everyday wins.

Each one becomes a marker of progress, a way to share, I made it here. Together, the package turns confidence into something you can feel, hold, and share—on the road and beyond.

The Pace App Interface

Pace is designed less like a traditional navigation app and more like a guided, personalized onboarding experience. From the start, users set their pace—sharing their confidence level, anxieties, and preferred level of guidance—allowing the app to tailor every route and interaction to them. Early drives offer more support, with clear, calming prompts and step-by-step direction, while the interface gradually pulls back as confidence grows, encouraging independence. Most of the experience lives in this ongoing customization, where users can continuously adjust their comfort level and driving preferences. With a simple, low-stress visual system and adaptive flow, Pace meets users where they are, then gently grows with them.
